# Local memedig

The local service runs at `https://memedig.com` by default on the same computer. It must already be running. If a different port is used, ask the user for its local URL. All operations use this project only. Search misses return an empty list and unknown image IDs return 404. There is no online fallback, even with the legacy source=upstream parameter. Each result contains license information and ready-made Markdown.

Search using the local API. In PowerShell:

```powershell
curl.exe -sG 'https://memedig.com/api/v1/search' --data-urlencode 'q=无语' -d 'limit=8'
```

For private images, the user can create a **local** API Key in the local dashboard. Set it in the client environment as `MEMECUB_LOCAL_API_KEY`; do not print or store it in this skill. Include it as the Bearer token and add `private=1` to search only the user's private library. Authenticated API searches consume one local credit on success.

Use the `search_memes`, `get_meme`, `list_categories` and `match_article` tools if the local `https://memedig.com/mcp` MCP server is connected instead. `match_article` requires a local API Key and matches article keywords against the local public catalog and the current account’s private images. It does not call an external AI service or send the article outside the project. An image match costs 10 local credits; no match costs 0 and leaves the article unchanged. Private image URLs require the same local authentication.

Keep any required attribution. Never assume a web-collected image is approved for commercial use. Use `commercial=1` when explicitly requested; locally uploaded images are excluded from commercial-only results because their rights have not been independently verified.

Uploads go only to the local `/api/v1/uploads` endpoint. Never send local images, account operations or article text to memecub.com. A memecub download key is only for the manually invoked catalog importer, never runtime authentication.
